Erectile Drugs

Consumption and Standard Dose

• Erectile drugs (EDs) come in pill form, and have varying doses and duration of effects:
  • Sildenafil: 25/50/100 mg, take 30 – 60 min before sex. It lasts for up to 4 hours.
  • Tadalafil: 5/10/20 mg, take 30 min before sex. It lasts up to 36 hours.
  • Vardenafil: 2.5/5/10/20 mg, take 25 min before sex. It lasts up to 4 – 5 hours

The Buzz

• Erectile drugs increase the flow of into blood to the genitals, hardening the penis, clitoris or erectile tissue. They make it easier to get hard and stay hard. You may still need to stimulate yourself to make yourself erect.

Overdose and other negative effects

• Priapism – if you have an erection that lasts for more than 4 hours, get medical attention immediately. Permanent damage and impotence can result in excessively prolonged erections.
• Hypotension – EDs cause blood pressure to drop. Too much of them in your system can cause it too drop to dangerous levels causing difficulties breathing, chest pains, dizziness, headaches, runny nose, upset stomach, and blackouts.

Dangerous Drug Combinations

• EDs don’t work as well on a full stomach, or after eating fatty foods
• Avoid taking with Poppers or any other Nitrite-based medication, as this mix can cause life-threatening drop in blood pressure.
• Sildenafil and Vardenafil take 24 hours to leave the body. Taladafil is still in effect up to 36 hours. Wait these lengths of time before taking more Erectile Drugs or Poppers.
• Drugs that lower blood pressure such as GHB.
• Drugs that increase blood pressure, such as MDMA, Crystal Meth or Cocaine strains your heart, and can lead to heart attacks.
• Mixed with MDMA can increase the risk of Priapism.
• Fake Erectile Drugs are available over the internet. Be careful to research into what you are getting.
  

Sex on Erectile Drugs

• EDs don’t create horniness: you still have to do the work of turning yourself on. EDs only make it easier to get hard and stay hard once you are hard.
• Some guys take longer to cum after taking EDs, but more easily get hard again after cuming.
  

HIV Medications & Erectile Drugs

• Delavidine (Rescriptor), Etrivarine (Intelence), Protease Inhibitors (PIs), and Elvitegravir /cobicistat/TDF/FTC (Stribild) significantly increase the concentration of Erectile Drugs, exacerbating their negative effects. If taking EDs while also on HIV medications, consider these guidelines:
  • Sildenafil should only be taken at 25 mg every 48 hours.
  • Tadalafil should only be taken at 10mg every 72 hours.
  • Vardenafil: take no more than 2.5 mg every 72 hours.
